We are incredibly proud to share that as of 17th December 2024, our ‘DuraWeave’ Indoor Cricket System received official approval from the ECB. DuraWeave features a durable Wilton-woven carpet surface paired with a polypropylene/polyester GeoPad shockpad. Installed over a concrete base, this advanced system provides a realistic game simulation with accurate ball bounce, ensuring top performance for indoor cricket centres such as Merchant Taylors’, and refurbishment projects.

In late 2019, Durant Surfaces introduced the DuraWeave surface, a permanent indoor solution ideal for cricket facilities looking for a top-quality playing surface. This innovative product combines a specialist woven carpet with the GeoPad shockpad system to provide a versatile surface that can be tailored to suit specific playing styles. Variations in the DuraWeave surface allow for more spin or seam, depending on your needs, ensuring that players can train effectively in all aspects of the game.

Standard at 3.65 meters wide, the surface can be customised to fit any length requirement, making it adaptable to a wide range of indoor spaces. The DuraWeave surface has already proven its value with its debut installation at Millfield School, where it has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from players and coaches alike. Similar feedback was given regarding our more recent installation at Merchant Taylors’ School, Northwood, completed in 2024.

Introducing our ‘Natural’ DuraWeave Surface for 2025. This new surface replicates the specs of our existing DuraWeave but features a unique natural colour and comes in a 2.74m width, compared to the standard 3.65m rolls of its counterparts. The ‘Natural’ DuraWeave is a premium woven carpet, equipped with our innovative GeoPad shockpad system, delivering optimal performance and comfort.

Typical to the characteristics of Duraweave, the surface is designed to cater to diverse playing styles, this surface can be customised to enhance spin or seam, allowing players to train in all aspects of the game. We recently installed our ‘Natural’ DuraWeave surface at Balbriggan Cricket Club’s new indoor facility in Ireland.
